"COCO DI MAMA" Italian Restaurant
Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera
This restaurant is the latest on the Eleuthera restaurant scene, having just opened in April, 2001. "Cocodimama" features great Italian food, as well as local Bahamian dishes. It has probably the best bar in the Governor's Harbor area also. It is located near the Governor's Harbour Airport, on the beach on the Caribbean. In my opinion, it is a "must eat" restaurant when visiting Eleuthera, not only because of the food, but the friendly atmosphere.

"We were looking for freedom when we realized we needed a change in our lives. Therefore we left our jobs in tourism and marketing companies in Italy for travelling around the world for a year . We went to the Caribbean, the States, Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Far East and Maldives looking for a place where to built or small resort.
We discovered Eleuthera . Eleuthera is freedom of walking on a deserted beach of pink sand, stopping now and then to look at the seagulls flying in the limpid sky…You can stop and talk to the fishermen at work and try their newly caught lobster or you can even catch them by yourself!
Almost everything in the Restaurant comes from Italy, from the kitchen equipment, including the expresso machine to our chef, and his recipes. We even receive something from Italy on a weekly basis."
